Black Diamond Continues Strategic Partnership With Oman Embassy Through Industrial Investment Forum

Egyptian and Omani investors and manufacturers explore opportunities to deepen industrial cooperation and expand trade

Black Diamond for Public Relations and Conference Organization continued its strategic cooperation with the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Cairo through its participation in an industrial investment forum that brought together leading Egyptian developers, manufacturers and business executives.

The forum was organized by the Embassy of Oman in cooperation with the North Al Batinah branch of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Egypt’s General Authority for Investment and Free Zones and the Egyptian Commercial Service.

The event sought to strengthen economic integration and develop partnerships across a range of sectors in line with Oman Vision 2040. Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has described the forum as an initiative aimed at strengthening economic integration and building partnerships across multiple sectors.

The forum also built on cooperation between the Omani Embassy and Black Diamond, which organized the “Oman-Egypt… Land of Opportunities” conference in November 2025.

The conference focused on identifying investment opportunities in both markets and developing recommendations to support cooperation between investors and business leaders.

Black Diamond supported the Omani Embassy in extending invitations to a group of Egyptian investors and business leaders, who held discussions with their Omani counterparts on opportunities to increase bilateral trade and investment.

Participants included Khaled Siddiq, Assistant Minister of Housing and Chairman of the Urban Development Fund; Bahaa Salem, Chairman of Al Salem Holding Group; Fadi Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait-based Urbanlanes; Amr El Adl, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MBG Developments; Mohamed El Hagg, Chairman of Palmer Developments; Omar El-Tayebi, Chief Executive Officer of TLD; Ashraf Boulos, Chairman of Cornerstone; and Mahmoud Tammam, Founder and Managing Director of UPWYDE Developments.

The discussions focused on opportunities to strengthen private-sector cooperation and develop investment partnerships between Egyptian and Omani companies.

The forum forms part of a broader effort by both sides to increase private-sector engagement and create new channels for investment, manufacturing and trade.

Oman Ambassador: Egypt-Oman Relations Built on Mutual Trust and Shared Vision

Al Rahbi calls for a shift from trade to economic integration, highlighting logistics, manufacturing, energy and tourism as key areas for cooperation

Relations between Oman and Egypt are built on a deep historical foundation, mutual trust between their leaderships and a shared vision on development and stability, Oman’s ambassador to Egypt said.

Abdullah bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Ambassador of Oman to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, said recent years had witnessed significant progress in economic relations between the two countries, driven by political will, increased official engagement and growing interest from the private sector in investment and cooperation opportunities.

He said the progress achieved so far should be viewed as a starting point rather than a ceiling, arguing that the economic potential of both countries extends well beyond current levels of trade and investment.

Al Rahbi identified manufacturing, logistics, food security, renewable energy, green hydrogen, tourism, the digital economy, technology, healthcare and education as sectors offering significant opportunities for long-term partnerships.

“The future of relations between countries is no longer measured only by the strength of their political ties, but by their ability to build sustainable economic partnerships that generate growth and opportunities and serve the interests of their peoples,” he said.

The ambassador said Oman’s economic strategy under Oman Vision 2040 places the private sector, investment attraction and economic diversification at the center of efforts to build a more prosperous and sustainable economy.

He also pointed to changes in the global economic environment, saying geopolitical developments, technological advances and supply-chain disruptions were reshaping the global economic map.

Economic success, he argued, increasingly depends not only on natural resources or geography, but on countries’ ability to build networks of strategic partnerships linking ports with markets, industry with services and investment with innovation.

Complementary Economic Positions

Al Rahbi highlighted the strategic positions of Oman and Egypt.
Oman’s location on the Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea, combined with its ports in Sohar, Duqm and Salalah and its economic zones, has strengthened its position as an emerging logistics and investment hub connecting East and West.

Egypt, meanwhile, combines economic and demographic weight with control of the Suez Canal, one of the world’s key trade routes, and an expanding network of infrastructure and economic zones connecting it to African, Mediterranean and European markets.

“From this perspective, we do not view Oman and Egypt simply as two economies with overlapping interests,” Al Rahbi said. “We see them as partners capable of building an Arab economic bridge stretching from the Indian Ocean to the Mediterranean”
He cited closer integration between the Port of Sohar and Egypt’s Suez Canal Economic Zone as one example of the potential for industrial and logistics cooperation.

Such partnerships, he said, could create additional value, strengthen the competitiveness of both economies and expand access to international markets.

Al Rahbi called for a shift “from trade exchange to economic integration,” from exporting goods to developing joint industries, and from competing for markets to cooperating in reaching them.

Private Sector at the Center

The ambassador said the private sector remained the main engine of economic growth and job creation and a key partner in implementing national development strategies.

Governments, he said, should focus on creating regulatory and institutional frameworks that provide investors with confidence, facilitate capital flows, encourage innovation and strengthen partnerships between businesses.

“Oman views the investor as a partner in development,” he said, pointing to efforts to improve the business environment, increase transparency and enhance economic competitiveness under Oman Vision 2040.

He also stressed that investment forums should be judged by their ability to generate actual projects and partnerships rather than simply by attendance or the number of sessions held.

“The real success of such a meeting will not be measured by the number of attendees or sessions, but by what emerges from it in terms of investments, projects, jobs and added value,” he said.

Al Rahbi concluded by calling for the forum to mark the beginning of a new phase in bilateral economic relations — one focused on moving from discussing opportunities to creating them and from exchanging ideas to implementing projects.

Khaled Siddiq: Investment Is a Key Language for Peace and Closer Relations

Egyptian housing official highlights real estate and tourism opportunities and calls for stronger two-way investment

Investment can serve as an important instrument for strengthening peace and closer relations between peoples, Khaled Siddiq, Assistant Minister of Housing and Chairman of Egypt’s Urban Development Fund, said during an Egypt-Oman investment forum in Cairo.

Siddiq highlighted the stability and security enjoyed by Egypt and Oman under their respective leaderships and praised Oman’s supportive positions toward Egypt.

He said Oman had become an attractive destination for Egyptian investment and called for stronger trade and investment flows between the two countries.

Siddiq also highlighted opportunities for Omani investors in Egypt’s real-estate and tourism sectors, pointing to major development projects including New Alamein City, the New Administrative Capital and Ras El Hekma.

He also cited investment opportunities in the eastern Red Sea region, Siwa and Lake Qarun.

Siddiq said the Urban Development Fund, in cooperation with Egypt’s Ministry of Housing and other relevant authorities, was prepared to provide support and facilitate investment by Omani companies.

He highlighted the strategic geographical positions of Egypt and Oman, describing both countries as important points of connection for international trade, manufacturing and maritime transport.

The remarks came as Egyptian and Omani officials and business leaders explored opportunities to deepen economic cooperation and expand private-sector investment between the two markets.
